Elspeth is a stunning well built mare who is owned by Ina Lohmann. She raced successfully in BC and was also shown to a Regional Championship in the Sporthorse halter division. She represents the creme de la creme of a Polish breeding program through the tail female "E" line, *Esterka (Oaks winner) and *Estokada (Oaks winner), not to mention *Arwistawa (Stakes winner), *Gaypolka and *Falat, as well as the top French sire, *Haffir El Rimal leading racehorse sire in the US with earnings of $649,169.00 from 22 runners. She had a foal every year of her life from 1949-1967. She took a well deserved rest in 1968 and then produced *FALAT in 1969. She was 27 when she died in 1970. All of FORTA's foals that went to the track were winners (17 of 20) and most were Stakes winners. FALAT himself had 1 start in Poland which he won. When FALAT came to the US he was shown in halter and English Pleasure, winning National Top Ten in both. FALAT had tons of potential to be a big time race winner and so did his kids, they just didn't get to prove themselves. FALAT is sired by the incredible chief sire of Poland, GWARNY. He is known, by the poles, as the best son of AMURATH SAHIB. ELEKTRA is out of ARWISZA who is a GAYPOLKA, ARWISTAWA and KIRKOR granddaughter.
